Yep if there is slander, or personally defamnation ( which it looks like there is, from what you have said) then Free Speech 1St Amendment isn't applicable, they had the right free speech, but ultimately there words, or postings can be used against them in a court of law, to include lawful search and seizure of said electronic device that was used to send such information (computer, PDA, etc etc) and probably through a forensic analysis there will be enough information to win the case and get the legal damages you might be entitled, but against consulting with a lawyer that specializes in this area of expertise is going to be you best bet.

Depending on how damaging it is, you may have a suit. The 1st Amendment only protects the freedom of speech to such an extent. Once it crosses the line into damaging, it ends there. If you want, send the link to me off-list and I'll give you my opinion on rather or not you should consult a lawyer. Christopher J. I am looking for some advice from the list regarding posts on a wiki. Apparently someone is not very happy with me (not sure why, don't even know who) and has engaged in some character-assassination of me on a public wiki. I don't really want to post the link here publicly, as I don't want to improve the Google PageRank or anything like that, but I can send the link privately. Safe to say the stuff posted is pretty hurtful to me, and my fiance who is also mentioned. I can take it, but I would really like the content about her removed. What I am wondering is if I should just ignore this (hard to, but I can try), or if there is anything I can do. Attempts I have made to remove the content have been marked as "vandalism" and the pages have been restored. Anyone have advice? Thanks...
