  That.

  All day-to-day operations are done as unprivileged users.  As IT
Manager, my user account is actually probably one of the least
privileged in the company, since I don't need access to a lot of
manufacturing operations stuff that most other people do.

  We find ways to run software without admin rights, or we don't run
it.  Typically just file and registry permissions, as noted.

  It reduces the support burden of IT dramatically.  I work for a 120
person company, and we only recently hired our second full-time IT
admin staffer.

  At this point, I honestly can't understand how people operate any other way.
