Postini does not use RBLs. They have a “proprietary algorithm” for
determining whether they should drop connections. Everything does not
necessarily move to the quarantine. You can enable the Blatant Spam Blocker
(BSB) to black hole blatant spam. And they have directory harvest attack,
mail-bomb, and connection flooding protection that basically blacklists IPs
identified as an attacker for a set amount of time but it doesn’t blacklist
them indefinitely.

Subject: Postini & RBL?

For those of you using Postini for your mail filtering:

Does Postini utilize RBL lists to drop connections, or is everything
identified as spam moved to the quarantine?
