That's at 110 volts - U.S. Standard. Take the wattage, divide by whatever your local standard voltage is, to come up with your local amperage requirement.
Seem pretty reasonable to me. My personal server at home draws 700 watts; over 6 amps. Regards, Michael B. We have an old one at a data centre which is being moved to a new site. The new site want accurate estimates of it's ampage, which Dell don't seem to have on the web based tool I have access to. We don't have access to the box to put in some kind of monitoring device (or rather we do but its 400+ miles away and time and money aren't on our side). I don't suppose anyone has this written down somewhere? If it helps its a dual processor (Intel Xeon 2.4Ghz), fully loaded with 7 scsi u320 disks. It's probably responsible for the worlds global warming on it's own, but I just can't tell.
