I'm guessing here, but I'm reasonably sure he didn't install XP SP3 on
Windows Server 2003.

By chance did your most recent update include XP SP3?  SP3 will
occasionally restart the firewall service.

Just noticed on a couple of machines (servers)...after applying regular
windows update, RDP fails to work.  Anyone else see this?  Can't telnet
to port 3389 locally on those PC's.  Firewall is off. Server 2003.
