No, it happens to all windows servers 2003 sp1 and sp2. Haven't seen it in
2008 yet.

However, "shutdown -r -f -t 1 -m \\remote-server-name" has always worked for
me.

all that closely discussed loss of remote desktop connections (RDC) after 
an MS Update and re-boot...

Any idea of how bad this is when the machine in question (and not 
responding to RDC) is a VMWare VM?  Wonder if this was somewhat be
