Yep. I'm just going to bite the bullet and do a recovery install, I'll just 
have to clean up the 3rd party software (I expect the worst) thanks for the 
ideas.

I have a 2003 server that went belly up over the weekend. It has some
proprietary software I'd rather not reinstall if possible. I've gone
into the r console and tried chkdsk \r. As well as fixboot but it still
gets to the windows splash and reboots. Any ideas or thoughts
