What are your cache settings set to? (Regarding the XLS issue.)
And, perhaps, resetting the cache might help. Have you searched (or posted your problems to) microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing? Lots of MSFT folks hang out there. Regards, Michael B. Haven't tried in the last several months though. I also miss the ability to force Windows to notice that an offline server is now online. You just have to wait for it to figure it out itself. And while it's not a Vista issue per se, when offline files, Excel 2007, and .xls format are all used at the same time, the .xls file is taken offline when opened, and not put back online when closed or saved. It's not a problem for Word 2007 working .doc files, but I just checked and it's still broken for Excel and .xls files at this moment. Carl From: Michael B. Almost every PC always gets corrupted offline cache constantly (Error:5 Source: Offline Files) and I need to manually fix this. Since the path's of some of the redirected folders have changed as well(server migration) most of the users get an error saying redirection failed, but it actually doesn't? Some have this error go away when the CSC folder is cleared, and some it still remains after? Anyone got any knowledge on this they can share?
