We are running Terminal Server on a Windows 2003 server to access a couple of applications. Currently, user sessions stay active forever, and we want it like that. The problem we are encountering is on the local side. The remote desktop session times out after 10 minutes of inactivity, and requires the user to re-enter their credentials, but they are connected right back to where they were. We don't want this to happen. We basically want the remote client to stay connected and active all day. I hope this makes sense. How do I make this happen? I have not set anything related to TS or RD session settings. I thought the default values were unlimited. What am I missing?
