Hopefully, if you're going for an online backup solution, you are defiantly keeping a local copy as well.
You should make sure that your data at the old company is purged. You'll have to have some kind of agreement that they won't re-use your data for some other purpose. There is probably already language in your contract about this with them. Hold them accountable.
