I've used Google Apps with a company I worked for in Second Life. It's a good way to collaborate if you're dealing with non-sensitive data. I'm not sure I'd trust it with something I wouldn't want others to get their hands on, but that could just be my lack of trust in Google's "Do No Evil" philosophy.
