Does anyone know if it's possible to replace an old Adaptec 1210 SATA raid card with an Adaptec 1220 card? We have an old machine here that runs a legacy app with a 1210 card. It's started just dropping the raid array until we reboot the box. After a reboot the array appears again and everything is fine.
I'm keen to swap it over with something thats compatible driver wise (which we've checked) and that will support the existing array (ie that we can put the drives straight on to and know the data will still be there). Anyone know ?
