Nope, kinda proprietary in the snapmirroring arena so it's only netapp
to netapp.

 

You'd be best off doing a snapshot then doing ndmp of that snapshot
across the wan to that DR site. That would require, I think, the snap
manager utility in order to push out that specific snapshot you took.

Yo list,

I've been asked to see if there is a cost effective way for a NetApp SAN
to replicate with non-NetApp storage.  Customer wants to spin up a
single ESX host with 8 VMs and a ~2TB DAS for their DR site.  What I
don't know is if NetApp allows snapmirror to chat with non NetApp gear.
So...for those of you running NetApps, what can you tell me?
