Here's what I do to avoid being one of 2,567,834 people pinging the list - when it's been more than 4 hours since the last message (or more likely, 12+), I fire an e-mail to a fellow list member saying "yo, have you got anything from the NT list lately? I haven't seen my dose of Shook insults".
