SuperMicro makes good server-quality hardware. You can either buy the chassis+motherboard+other bits separately, or buy barebones machines from the likes of NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com).
If you buy barebones all you need to do is add CPU, memory and the storage subsystem. Aberdeen (http://www.aberdeeninc.com/) is one place that will customize SuperMicro systems for you. They're not Canadian, though. Other OEMs to look at: MSI, ASUS, Tyan. In terms of motherboard & chassis configurations SuperMicro has a bigger selection than all the others combined. They're the 800lb gorilla in this market. Shawn Everett wrote: > Hi Guys, > > I'm in the process of evaluating non name brand servers and wonder if > anyone can recommend a good supplier.
