  While a firewall is definitely a good idea, "insiders" can still
abuse printers.  In a school environment, the students will often be
the ones you are trying to defend against.  Many network printers
allow you to configure restrictions such that only certain IP
addresses can submit jobs.  Set that to your print server(s), and set
a password on the management UI, and you're in good shape.

  FYI, in addition to TCP/515, TCP/9100 is used extensively for
"direct port printing".
