My thinking is, once the call's gone to voice mail, the phone switch will see the outbound call as dialed by the voice mail system, not the original line. The VM then does a transfer to join the two. (Like most phone systems, with Nortel's stuff, the voice mail and the phone switch are more-or-less completely separate components, and communication between the two of them is very limited.) That's just a guess on my part, though. I would suggest asking some Norstar experts. There are a few different forums I use: http://www.tgrace.com/mailman/listinfo/nortel-list -- Mailing list like this one, but for Nortel http://www.pbxinfo.com/bcm-norstar/ -- Reasonably active web forum http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminder.cfm?pid=799 -- Another web forum, had a good FAQ last I was there, but seems to be down right now -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
