  I don't *think* so.  My thinking is, once the call's gone to voice
mail, the phone switch will see the outbound call as dialed by the
voice mail system, not the original line.  The VM then does a transfer
to join the two.  (Like most phone systems, with Nortel's stuff, the
voice mail and the phone switch are more-or-less completely separate
components, and communication between the two of them is very
limited.)

  That's just a guess on my part, though.  I would suggest asking some
Norstar experts.  There are a few different forums I use:
