Has your mapped location already been indexed by Windows Search?

Subject: Windows Search question

XP Pro SP3

We're having an issue here, searching for a specific word within files,
trying to search through multiple folders. Specifically, we have a
drive letter mapped to a central storage location, that houses contract
information. We want to choose a year folder, and search all folders
underneath that for the word "universal", within any files inside those
folders. When we try, the result is negative. If we browse to a
specific contract folder, and try at that point, we get results.

Is there a limit to how many folder levels the search will go down? Or
some other setting to check?

Thanks,

Joe Heaton
