Are the computer SIDs being rolled? Duplicate SIDs will create quirky issues.

Really random issue, although for some of my users, it's pretty much every time they log in. They turn on their computer in the morning, log in, and get nothing except their wallpaper. No icons, no access to Start, etc. When we go into Task Manager, explorer.exe is not running, so we start it manually. Everything is fine from then on, at least for that day. Some users don't get this issue again. I have one user, however, this happens to her every day. What makes it worse, is that she is a Director, so it becomes a hot issue. I've done google searches, finding this issue in various places. However, none of them seem exactly like what I'm seeing. There are no errors/warnings in Event Viewer, so I'm just not sure what's going on. Any ideas?
