Since the other beta's are out... I really like the new task bar. I'm not sold on the new Start button.
Otherwise - it's very much like Vista sp2. Except that it uses less memory. At idle, my Vista system uses about 850 MB. At idle (pretty much the same startup applications), Win7 uses 500 MB. Speed-wise - I don't detect any appreciable difference. But I've got pretty fast machines already. I have found a couple of pretty obvious bugs, so I don't consider it production-ready.
