  Should work.  Several years ago, when I was doing field tech work, I
had bought an "ATX to AT adapter", which basically was the ATX
connector and the AT connector, wired together appropriately, with a
wire broken out to run to the AT power switch (for the "soft power on"
in to the ATX supply).  Worked fine, and it meant I only had to carry
one spare supply around with me for testing.
