Yes. I do all my clients via RDP.

However, if you haven't done it already, I really recommend you install KB
930045 FIRST.

And for the reboot where you install 930045:

1] install the patch, selecting "Do not reboot now"

2] stop all exchange services

3] stop all ms-sql instances

4] shutdown -r -f -t 0 (instead of selecting "reboot" from a menu)

Anyone applied it to an SBS2003 server via RDP? Any issues? Does it make a
difference if RDP or local? I wouldn't think so but never know.

We've got ice here in SW, VA and I can't get out so I thought I might put it
on our Church server.

Oh yes, PSS (at least the SBS section) knows what's going on, but they
aren't saying much. Terry's report of problems with an XP and Vista box
would be the first I'd heard of that.

But shouldn't be better ,for SBS boxes , to wait for a re-release of the
patch ? Does PSS have any idea of what is happening ?

I think it's safe to say that it only affects SBS - this list would be
on fire if it was a general problem.

I've patched several hundred XP and 2000 desktops and over a dozen 2000
and 2003 servers with nary a problem, as well as a handful of Vista and
2008 machines.
