  Right, but is it possible to either (1) have .Run not open a new
window at all, but instead use the existing window, when running under
CSCRIPT, or (2) have the window opened by .Run leave it open once the
executed command terminates?

  OP has a command that's failing, and failing too quickly to see what
the output is.
