Scenario: 2008 Server, Hyper-V. MS System Center Virtual Machine Manager. I
VM'd an SBS 2K3 server and it was apparently successful, except if I view the
VM'd servers properties in SCVMM the operating system is listed as "none", and
if I use the drop-down to select Windows 2003 Small business server I get the
message "Error (10637) The virtualization software on host
trent.students.blackburn.local does not support the Windows 2003 Small business
operating system.
Recommended Action: Specify a host with different virtualization software and
then try the operation again"

However if I choose "Windows 2003 Standard Edition (32-bit x86)" for the VM it
doesn't complain. What's more confusing is when I did this conversion in my lab
I didn't have any such errors, the main difference is the hardware it came
from. The VM itself seems to function OK but I'm wondering what kind of
functionality or other issues I might have from not being able to specify the
right OS?
