indexmaker is what you are looking for. MRTG and it's tools are Perl, so you'll need to install ActivePerl. What I've done in the past is create a cfg file for each switch then copy/paste the contents to a master cfg file. Use the indexmaker on the individual cfg files and output an HTM to your web dir. I manually created a list of links to those HTM's and made that my index.htm I then scheduled MRTG via a batch file to run using the master cfg file.
I switched over to PRTG a few months back so I could add my servers and some other stuff and stop worry about updating cfg files. Hi, Im setting up MRTG to monitor the public string of a 3COM switch, and so far its working well. I want however to have a front index.html page that shows ALL the ports on the switch at the same time, rather than the default of having to go into each port, and I assumed that indexmaker would be the way to do it, but as this isnt a Windows exe, I dont know how its meant to run and the supplied documentation is a little vague. Anyone know? Windows 2003 SBS, pretty much default mrtg.cfg file. -- Gavin Wilby, Twitter: http://twitter.com/gavin_wilby GSXR Blog: http://www.stoof.co.uk ***Teletronics Technology Corporation*** This e-mail is confidential and may also be privileged.
