I've used ProduKey in the past. It also handles some other Microsoft
products installed.

Perhaps it was the wording that you used in your question that seemed to
indicate that you wanted the machine serial number?  To most of us,
machine serial number means just that, the serial number for the
physical hardware....now license key, or product activation code is
something different.  Do a google search.  I know that several years ago
I had a utility that would give me my XP key, called "MyXPKey" or
something like that.....
