We have several Dell Precision Workstations (390, T-3400) on which 
Internet Explorer does not work...

IE opens, and one can go from link to link, fill in an address, etc. 
However, if a link attempts to open either a new tab or page, it breaks. 
Either the new tab/page will open in a blank (its address space may or may 
not be blank), or IE will freeze up completely.

Other than total wipe/rebuild, anyone come across this and find a 
reasonable fix?  We're mostly A Firefox shop, but IE is required for some 
apps.
