Its very easy to add RADIUS to your domain controllers; its a part of the IAS (Internet Authentication Service). Using RADIUS will give you the benefit of being able to authenticate a wider variety of network devices.
Both work equally well with the SonicWALL products. It just depends on diverse your needs are. I was only curious to know if there was a specific reason that you didnt go with RADIUS. -- ME2 On Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 5:40 PM, Steve Ens <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't have a RADIUS server... > > On Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 4:12 PM, Micheal Espinola Jr > <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Why not use RADIUS? >> >> -- >> ME2 >> >> >> >> On Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 5:00 PM, Steve Ens <[email protected]> wrote: >> > The connector runs as a service on any server/workstation that is >> > connected >> > to the domain, but not a dc. >> > >> > On Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 3:54 PM, Andy Ognenoff <[email protected]> >> > wrote: >> >> >> >> Does the LDAP connector still have to run on a server/workstation >> >> logged >> >> into the domain interactively or can it run as a service? >> >> >> >> - Andy O. >> >> ________________________________________ >> >> From: Steve Ens [mailto:[email protected]] >> >> Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2009 3:49 PM >> >> To: NT System Admin Issues >> >> Subject: Sonicwall w.
