Unless you're talking about multi-CPU machines going with the expense of a Xeon won't gain you anything except a lighter pocketbook, and depending on the Xeon part # you can get an identical non-Xeon part for less $ - compare the Core 2 Duo E6600 and the Xeon E3060 to see what I mean. Or the Xeon X3060 and Core 2 Quad Q6600.
