Try turning off the vista off-line files.
I had similar problems till I did.

Subject: Vista Client and DFS-R issue

I have an odd issue that I am not finding a lot of info on. I have a windows
2008 dfs setup (2 servers, replicating folders, using domain based dfs
namespace). Only vista clients that are on the domain, when trying to connect
to the dfs share, cannot write to the folders. Take them off of the domain,
they are fine. XP clients are fine. Even have the vista domain clients connect
directly to the server instead of the namespace, it is fine.

Any ideas?
