Jeff,
I've been running Sunbelt Software's VIPRE Enterprise on my church network since December, switching from AVG Pro. VIPRE is very effective at cleaning and keeping the machines free of malware intrusions, and is much simpler to manage than AVG, Trend, or McAfee - the only three a/v systems I've used. In the past couple weeks there have been two significant "glitches" which have cost some admins a lot of grief due to bad definition update files. And I'd note that both McAfee and Trend have had similar issues in the past. Sunbelt is working hard to resolve these issues and has been very open in their communication via the VIPRE email list. Indeed, this is one of the great benefits of dealing with Sunbelt - you have direct access to their support staff, company principals, and other active users via their email lists. You won't find many companies which provide the high level of support and willingness to listen that Sunbelt has consistently done with all their products. In spite of the recent issues, I'm looking forward to switching to Sunbelt's VIPRE & Ninja in the next 2-3 months when my McAfee maintenance contract comes due. Both products are solid and excellent values. Hi all, now that Vipre has been out for a while and the incredible deal sunbelt is offering to switch, what are the impressions of it from anyone running it? The cost to switch is comparable to my Sophos renewal. I have not yet download the trial , looking for knowledgeable opinions first.
