Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Unless the remote client is connected to a multinetwork internal, then they don't loose ability to connect to other local systems on their same network. They can get to all internal networks from the VPN to do what they need.
There is not a single correct way, may be right or wrong depending on your configuration and what you are trying to accomplish. I can say that this worked well for me in the past based on our needs at the time. Default gateway should remain local in PPTP connection. The routing table may be obtained by the dhcp server they connect to. It is on the 10.1.0.0/255.255.0.0 network. This works great for a client to access all the machines on the 10.1.0.0 network, but I cannot access any machines on any other networks (e.g. 10.20.0.0/255.255.0.0, 10.126.0.0/255.255.0.0, etc.). I can access these other networks from the VPN server just fine, just not from a client that is connected to the VPN server. Can someone please tell me what I am need to change to get this working? Thanks in advance. cheers, ski -- "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it connected to the entire universe" John Muir Chris "Ski" Kacoroski, [email protected], 206-501-9803 or ski98033 on most IM services ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
