  I didn't think the WRT54G2 *had* a bridge mode.  The manual agrees with me.

  Check the IP phone itself.  Is it even getting an IP address?  Is it
associated to the correct access point?  As a first guess, since you
had to replace the AP, make sure the wireless settings are all good.
SSID (network name) -- remember, it's case-sensitive and spaces
matter.  Encryption mode -- WEP vs WPA vs WPA2.  Cipher/key mode.
Password or PSK entry.  Etc.
