The problem I found in letting the installer of Office 2007 uninstall previous versions, is that the Office 2007 Standard installer will not remove the previous version of Access from the machine if the machine had a previous version of Professional installed. Which created a small problem. Luckily there were only about 15 workstations effected, but it still was a pain to clean up.
