Granted, yes. Not only easy but standard on /dev/ttySx.
My curiosity was more directed to the complexity of muxing 1000+ serial
ports per container in addition to the *required* 1000+ lan connections
(which, to my mind, would be the only other connection required besides
power). Presumably, the 3 [status] LEDs would give a technician an ID on
a faulty server after a non-responsive ping. Removing the unit to a
repair jig would be fairly easy and as I understand the Google file
system has massive redundancy.
