Greetings list, I'm interested in setting up our various wifi access points to use central authentication for my users. That means a radius setup. I'm looking for documentation or some general help on how to set this up.
Here's what we have: Windows 2008 domain controllers, Apple Airport Extreme access points, and Windows/Mac clients to connect. I've installed the NPS role/service, and followed the instruction to setup 802.1X authentication to my test airport... left most of the defaults (there are a lot of settings to screw up here!) setup the airport to point to the server and was still unable to get the client -> router -> authentication over RADIUS to work. Obviously, I'm in need of some training here. As I read up on it, it appears that A) Windows 2008's implementation is more complicated than 2003 and B) I will need to setup certificates, which I'm clueless about. So, where should I begin? Is there documentation which address this? Or perhaps a good book somebody can recommend? Thanks in advance. --Matt Ross Ephrata School District ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
