Are they using MX Logic for outbound filtering as well? If not, then the IP address associated with the mail server will depend on whatever the network configuration is like. If they're behind a NAT or proxy, it will be the IP address of the NAT/proxy device. If their mail server has a public IP address (or one-to-one static NAT assignment), it will be that address. If they are using MX Logic for outbound, the outbound MX could by any number of IP addresses assigned to MX Logic, and may vary with time. I'd suggest contacting MX Logic's technical support for a definitive answer. If you want a do-it-yourself approach, have them send you an email message (I assume you're not blocking them), and then look at the RFC-822 headers for the "Received:" lines. (Under "Options" for the message in Outlook.) They'll usually note the IP address of each mail hop. Looking up the MX record, as some have suggested, is unlikely help; that's used for inbound mail, and is often not the same as for outbound mail. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
