I'd make the other DCs Global Catalogs if they aren't already.

If the aging server is still up, add the new server DC promo move the
appropriate roles, DC promo (demote) the old one.
Exchange is smart enough to now of the change.
Am I missing something?

Subject: Replacing Win2k3 DC

I have 3 DC's in my Domain. I am at the life's end of one of them. I am
building a server to replace it.
I need to know how to determine what roles this server has so I can be sure to
get them on the new server.
What is the best practice to replace a DC and to migrate the roles???
