  Do you mean Active Directory partitions (I've heard that's available
in 2008) or disk partitions?

  I always try to partition server storage.  At least a C: for OS and
page file, D: for apps and data.  More if running multiple workloads
on a single server.  For example, giving an Exchange database its own
partition to reduce file fragmentation.  (I know that ideally, the
Exchange database gets its own diskset, but I work in the small
business (< 200 employee) space where that's a big expense and
typically overkill.)
