I have used Elmsoft's password products before with great success. They have a 
couple different versions (recovery, or just open the document). 
http://www.elcomsoft.com/. Don't get the unlicensed version unless you know the 
pw is only a few characters (restricted).

How about trying a zip file password cracker.  The docx file is a compressed 
file storing the components of the document.
