I have investigated this a bit, and I just wondered if anyone had any opinions
they would like to share.

Should I disable NETBIOS? I have no legacy clients (but a lot of Mac's and
Linux Machines)

Are there security pros and cons?

Group Policy cons?

Will I have to ping machines by fqdn (i shouldn't, because the connection
suffix should append). What about browsing shares? Currently I connect
\\machinename\c$<file://\\machinename\c$>, will that change?

And finally, is there a Group Policy setting to disable it?

Thanks
Jeremy
