Do you have a site link with SMTP defined on it? Delete the site link and
ensure the sites in it are in an IP site link instead.

Subject: NTDS KCC Error 1568

I have 4 DC's 2 in each site. on ONE DC I am getting this error :

None of the domain controllers in the following site that replicate the
following directory partition are configured to use the following transport,
even though the site itself is configured to allow replication over this
transport.

Site:

CN=LV,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=corp,DC=zappos,DC=com

Directory partition:

CN=Configuration,DC=corp,DC=zappos,DC=com

Transport:

CN=SMTP,CN=Inter-Site
Transports,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=corp,DC=zappos,DC=com

User Action

Using Active Directory Sites and Services, do one of the following:

- Configure the site to not allow replication using this transport by modifying
the appropriate siteLink objects.

- Enable one or more domain controllers to use this transport. For the SMTP
transport, this requires installation of the SMTP service and configuration of
the mailAddress attribute on the corresponding Server object.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I checked the replication using REPLMON and everything is replicating ok. I
checked sites and Services and everything is set to use IP or RPC.

The error seems to be saying "The site can use SMTP to replicate, but its not"
I really would just to prefer to turn off SMTP replication.

The error shows up 8 times every 10 minutes in my Directory Service logs.

Anyone with any ideas whats going on here?

As always - thanks.

Jeremy
