This started off gathering notes/comments on "CLONE IDE to SATA".which
allowed us to at least backup and image.

Problem is that Acronis would then interfere with the RADIUS server!!! This
struck us as odd.has anyone else experienced this? Thanks. Cheers -J

Gavin/Martin,

We took your advice with Acronis (image captured and looking good so
far).unfortunately we are experiencing VPN (CISCO 515 PIX) issues. Seems
that Acronis is using a port that radius authentication normally uses which
made it so IAS would not start on the server. We changed the ports and
restarted. After loading the Acronis agent onto the workstation we
experienced the same.so we disabled authentication for now.

Any idea why Acronis would interfere with a RADIUS server?

Thanks. Cheer, -Jeff

You will probably need the universal restore option so you can slip in the
right disk driver.

We have an EDI server (still in production) needing replacement.

It's with an old IDE hard drive and we would like to upgrade to a system
using SATA (.having little choice in the matter).

Can anyone recommend tried/tested cloning software? Many thanks. Cheers.
