I think you have to call an API function for everything to actually work right. Folder redirection via Group Policy is really the way to do this. But without a DC you're kind of sunk. I suppose you could write an AutoIt Script to right-click the "My Documents" folder, do Properties, then click the "Move" button. But it would be very susceptible to the user screwing it up. What are you actually trying to do? What's the environment like?
