Anything in the Event Logs of the R2 servers when you try this?

Subject: Win2003 R2 access via SSL?

Greetings!

We have some VoIP components which are running Windows 2003 R2.

We also have a remote access device which uses SSL.

A couple of weeks ago, after running MS patches, I lost the ability to
access these machines remotely through the SSL appliance. I see the
outline of the remote desktop session starting, then it disappears with
the message that the system rejected the connection.

1. I can access the systems (RDP/Term Services Client) from another local
machine.

2. Remotely and using the SSL connection, I can log into an XP Pro machine
or a non-R2 Win2003 server. (I can then log into the R2 servers through
this connection.)

I simply cannot connect directly to an R2 system but need a local
intermediary.

Again, this situation began after some MS patches were applied in May.
Any hints as to what security features are in R2 but not a fully patched
XP Pro or non-R2 that I can "adjust"?

Thanks!
