You need a wireless system that supports a captive portal for guests. We use Aruba networks for our wireless and it supports that feature. Works great for customers and we haven't had a minute of wireless downtime in 1.5 years.

Since these offices are often in shared buildings, I need to provide some kind of authentication and access management so we're not providing free WiFi for the whole building or block. I was thinking of a hotel-type system, where the users must authenticate to a logon page before being allowed out to the Internet. One wrinkle in that might be that we want to support VPN traffic, not just HTTP/S. We use Cicso APs. Any thoughts or experiences in this area that anyone could share? I'd prefer a system with a central management point, as this solution will be deployed at a number of sites worldwide.
