Chris, re the netsh suggestion, as far as I'm aware this approach can only be taken with Vista or later. If I open CMD and type "netsh wlan show profiles" I receive an error saying that the command was not found. Steven, in theory this approach could potentially work though I have no idea whether or not the user's router is "Connect Now" compatible. Also, I guess the exported settings on the USB key would be encrypted. In the past I've used a tool called wirelesskeyview to extract WEP/WPA keys but this only gathers wireless settings for preferred networks that are currently active. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I can't find a way I guess I'll just tell the user to reconfigure their new laptop with their home wireless network.
