I have a couple mac's here for the graphic peeps. We had a power supply die in a G5 so the user pulled out mac laptop that used to connect to the file server quite some time ago. We can not seem to get it to authenticate correctly now. We have other mac's connecting fine so I'm stumped. cifs://name connects to the server and displays a listing of the shares and asks for authentication when you select one. After enter correct user/pass (we've tried quite a few usernames) it just shows the wonderfully detailed error message "Can not connect... try again or cancel" cifs://IP addy gives some error about read/write to a folder and error -36 I've created a new profile on the mac with my username and same password as my windows account and get the same errors, so I assume this is not a keychain issue. I've also configured the laptop to send clear text passwords. Any help or nudge in a direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jake Gardner TTC Network Administrator Ext. 246
