While I consider that a limitation myself, in all seriousness, from what I've seen, most users don't use multitasking, either. They just get confused at the prospect. But still, I agree, the iPhone's approach to multi-tasking seems like a return to the days of classic System and co-operative multi-tasking. On a phone running a BSD Unix core. When I b*tched about this in another forum recently, some iPhone fan said there was a package from Apple that did the management stuff the iPhone can do, without needing the iTunes kit.
