  It sounds like you're getting away from PST files, which is a very
good thing.  PSTs are evil.  For the long list of reasons, Google

  IMO, for Exchange 2007, the answer to that question is "No".  In
particular, fairly major management functionality was just plain
omitted until SP1 shipped.  We're still on Ex 2003 here, and plan to
move right to 2010.

  The Exchange/Outlook combo does have a lot of compelling features,
some of which are fairly unique on the market.  And I'm generally not
a big fan of Microsoft, so I don't give them praise often.
